COGNITIVE PROCESSING THERAPY (CPT)

Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) is an evidence-based therapeutic approach designed to help individuals overcome the impact of traumatic experiences. This structured and short-term therapy is focused on helping individuals to identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts and beliefs associated with the trauma, referred to as “stuck points.” Through collaborative exploration, individuals learn to develop more balanced and realistic core beliefs, ultimately facilitating emotional processing and more helpful ways to cope. CPT empowers individuals to regain control over their lives by addressing the cognitive impacts of trauma and promoting lasting healing and resilience.
