CLINICAL EXPERIENCE:

Mary is a registered dietitian specializing in eating disorder treatment for over 10 years. Her passion for working with eating disorders started when she worked as a dietitian at a psychiatric hospital's eating disorder program. During training she was challenged to question the traditional weight-centric education she had received and was introduced to the Health At Every Size paradigm and weight-inclusive care. She went on to work at higher levels of care for several years before obtaining her CEDRD credential through the IAEDP.

MARY'S APPROACH:

Mary’s approach is compassionate yet direct, and she acknowledges the difficulty of letting go of unrealistic societal expectations regarding food and weight.  She enjoys helping clients untangle and debunk their long-standing food rules and instead find ways to listen and take care of their bodies while honoring their individual experiences.

Mary has a gentle way of helping clients acknowledge how their behavior with food can be holding them back from living life in their most authentic way. She uses the most up to date research to help guide clients in understanding the role food plays in our complex human biochemistry. She is passionate about meeting people where they are at in their relationship to food and helping them discover what health means for them: mentally, physically and spiritually.
